If you have forgotten your password for Symantec NetBackup OpsCenter, you can run the following command to reset it:
vssat resetpasswd –pdrtype ab –domain OpsCenterUsers –prplname admin –newpasswd
Depending on what Operating System you’re running, the vssat may reside in one of the following directories:
/usr/openv/netbackup/sec/at/bin/vssat
C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Security\Authentication\bin\vssat
/opt/VRTSat/bin/vssat
To have the vssat command prompt you for your password, you can run this:
vssat resetpasswd –pdrtype ab –domain OpsCenterUsers –prplname admin
